Baked Beans, Ham & Potato Scallop Supper: Saturday, December 4,2010

Reserve the Date!!!! This will be the last event this year at the hall before the winter closure and is always a great event - main course consists of ham, scalloped potatoes and home baked beans accompanied by brown bread rolls, butter, coleslaw, pickles and a beverage, and finishes with a wonderful apple crisp.
There will be a xmas basket filled with gifts to buy tickets on - draw to take place at the supper. Value of basket over $100.
Other details of the rest of the afternoon's activities will be announced later, but I hear there is expected to be Christmas carolling and lots of neighbourly schmoozing!
Admission is by freewill offering - what you can afford give or take the current grocery store value of the meal. If such a meal were available in local restaurants you would expect to pay $15 or more.

Variety Show August 28, 2010

Coming up at the end of August is another great variety show at Fundyview. I was at the last one and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Nice to meet old friends and new at this friendly venue. Great acoustics and comfortable chairs too!

Remember, there are refreshments available and an ever popular 50/50 draw, lots of parking and a great view of the sunset if you step outside.

CHINESE AUCTION at Hall's Harbour Fundyview Community Centre

Back by popular demand!!! We didn't have one last year, which disappointed a lot of people, so decided to sponsor one this year. From what I hear, there will be some really nice prizes.

Slightly different rules this year - in order to win you must be present for the draw in the hall, but there will be lots of comfy chairs and a canteen is available so plan to meet your friends there and catch up on all the news.

Remember: the temperature is often 10 degrees cooler up here on the Mountain by the Bay of Fundy and the air inversion covering the valley does not affect us to any extent.

Country Variety Show this Saturday

Hall's Harbour Fundyview Community Centre is  presenting Carroll Edwards and friends this Saturday evening, June 26. The lineup looks great: Nathan Haley, Harold Hunt, Kerri Taylor, Brenda Downey, Lois Lutz and Eugene Rafuse. A great evening with friends in a breezy and lovely spot. There will be a 50-50 draw and Canteen Services. Adults $5 and $2.50 for kids. See you there!!!

VICTORIA DAY WEEKEND

Have you been looking for some live entertainment for this Holiday weekend?

We're pleased to announce a new line up for this month's Variety Show hosted by Carroll Edwards and Friends. This time there will be plenty of traditional bluegrass music to enjoy, along with a chance to win the 50/50 draw. Canteen service  will be available, and the venue is country-friendly and welcoming. We look forward to seeing you there on Saturday Evening, starting at 7PM.

NEWS JUST IN: If you're planning ahead to July 1 celebrations Carroll Edwards and Friends will be entertaining at the Hall's Harbour Fundy View Community Centre after supper hour and before the expected fireworks display. You are invited to come along and park at the hall, and enjoy the live entertainment while waiting for the fireworks to start - we remind you that the grounds of the hall provide for great viewing of the fireworks - and that washroom facilities are available.

Hall's Harbour Fundyview Community Centre is hosting a Variety Show on Saturday evening starting at 7PM - the details are above in a copy of the poster which has gone up around the Valley.
This is the same group of musicians who have been pulling in crowds all winter at the Woodville Hall. I know I'm looking forward to hearing them all! We're hoping they'll make performances at Fundyview a regular event.
Canteen services are available and you just might win the 50/50 draw - admission is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children.

Hall's Harbour Fundyview Community Hall: A new season

The Hall's Harbour Fundyview Community Hall opened for the 2010 season with a Lasagna Supper on Saturday April 17. The opportunity to see friends and neighbours after a long winter was irresistable and the supper was a great success. Lots of old friends, and new faces too. In keeping with the policy of setting costs for participants as low as possible, admission was by freewill offering.

A couple of pictures  above show servers ready to plate the first dinners , and then an overview of guests starting to gather around the serving table.

Plans are currently being made to do some interior touch up painting and some minor repair of weathering on the siding and fascia boards, and the Board of Directors is currently prioritizing and costing needed updates to maintain and improve the hall.
The hall is available for bookings for weddings, family gatherings, reunions, parties, and educational and recreational purposes.
